The circular dancing fountain at Furat Mall in Najaf, Iraq, is a uniquely engineered water feature designed to deliver vibrant and visually striking performances.
With a diameter of 31 meters, the fountain structure is composed of eight concentric functional layers, each incorporating different water or lighting effects. The seamless integration of dynamic movements, flame effects, and multi-layered water choreography transforms the central plaza of Furat Mall into an eye-catching entertainment centerpiece for shoppers.
Design Concept & Challenges
The design concept focused on creating a compact yet highly expressive circular fountain, where each concentric layer contributes to a coordinated performance. The 31-meter round layout required precision in hydraulic planning and strict alignment across all eight layers.
Key challenges included:
· Synchronizing multiple motion types (running, swinging, variable jets) within a circular geometry.
· Integrating flame effects safely among water elements
Ensuring equal water pressure and visual balance across concentric rings.
· Designing a central main jet powerful enough to serve as the visual anchor.
Through precise engineering and advanced control programming, the fountain delivers performances that are rhythmic, layered, and visually immersive.
